Osaka Night Views 2026: Umeda Sky and Rooftop Bars
Osaka at night: the Umeda Sky Building's open-air deck (¥2,000, until 22:30), Sky Lounge Stardust or Conrad Osaka’s 40 Sky Bar, then Dotonbori's neon.

Osaka has few true rooftop bars. The best night view is an observation deck with an open-air walkway, followed by a drink in a high lounge, and the neon of Dotonbori at street level.

Umeda Sky Building: the Floating Garden Observatory
Two towers joined at the top by an observatory, with an open-air walkway on the roof about 173m up. Go about an hour before sunset and walk the outdoor deck while it's still clear.
- Hours: 9:30–22:30 (last entry 22:00), open every day
- Tickets: adults ¥2,000, ages 4 to elementary school ¥500
Drinks
Sky Lounge Stardust (39F, Umeda Sky Building). The bar in the same building, so you don't need to go anywhere after the deck. Since February 2026 it's open 17:00–22:00 (drinks last orders 21:30). No cover charge, a 10% service charge, and no under-20s.
40 Sky Bar & Lounge, Conrad Osaka (Nakanoshima). On the 40th floor, indoors, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the Dojima River. Open 11:00–22:30 Sunday to Tuesday and until midnight Wednesday to Saturday. A ¥1,650 cover applies in the evening. 3-2-4 Nakanoshima, Kita-ku · 06-6222-0111
Dotonbori
Not a rooftop, but the neon, the Glico sign and the canal are Osaka's other night view. Go after Umeda and eat on the way; see the Osaka food guide.
Other views
- Tsutenkaku and Shinsekai: an older tower and neighbourhood, a different night from Umeda.
- Osaka Castle: the keep is lit up at night and can be seen from the park.
