Klook's 10 Best-Selling Hotels in Japan (2026)
The ten Japan hotels Klook sells most, from its own October 2026 list: Keio Plaza tops it, Osaka has four, Kyoto none. With ratings, stations and rates.

Booking sites rank hotels in their own order, and most travellers never find out what that order is based on. Klook has published the answer to its affiliates: a list of the hotels it sells most in each country, in order of demand. This is the top of the Japan list.
The result is not what most "best hotels in Japan" lists look like. There are no ryokan and no luxury brands. What travellers actually book are big, well-run hotels a few minutes from a station, in Tokyo and Osaka.
How we picked them
In October 2026 Klook sent its affiliate partners, us included, a list called "Klook hotel picks for affiliates": up to 100 hotels per destination, which Klook says are ordered so that the hotels with the strongest demand come first. Each hotel carries one of three tags. "Hot selling" means strong, proven demand on Klook. "High growth" means bookings have risen recently. "Great prices" means the rates stand out.
We took the first ten hotels on the Japan list, in Klook's order. On 20 October 2026 we opened each hotel's Klook page and noted its guest rating, review count, room count, nearest station and walking time, and the lowest nightly rate Klook showed over the next 30 days.
We have not stayed at these hotels for this article. The order is Klook's, not ours. We earn a commission from Klook if you book through the links below, and the list comes from Klook too, so treat it as a measure of what sells rather than an independent review. The rates are the cheapest night Klook found for two adults in one room over the following 30 days, each on a different date, so they show each hotel's floor price and are not comparable with each other. Klook shows them in US dollars, and city tax is charged on top at the hotel.

Three things stand out. Osaka has as many hotels in the top ten as Tokyo, four each. Kyoto does not appear until No. 21 (Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi). And no hotel is more than a ten-minute walk from a station, which is the one thing every popular choice has in common.
1. Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo
The top seller is a Shinjuku landmark: a 47-floor tower with 1,452 rooms, across the road from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Klook lists Tochomae Station on the Oedo Line three minutes away on foot. Klook tags it "Great prices" rather than "Hot selling", yet at about US$351 for its cheapest night in the next 30 days it is the most expensive hotel on the list. Klook's listing gives airport buses from the hotel at ¥1,400 per adult one way, and a buffet breakfast at about ¥5,000 extra.

2. Mitsui Garden Hotel Gotanda
Gotanda is three stops south of Shibuya on the JR Yamanote Line. Klook puts the 370-room hotel four minutes from Gotanda Station. Its lowest rate over the next 30 days, about US$152, was less than half that of the two Shibuya hotels further down the list.

3. Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno
A 242-room hotel five minutes from JR Ueno and seven from Keisei-Ueno, the terminal for the Skyliner from Narita. That makes it one of the easiest hotels on the list to reach from the airport with luggage. For more on staying on this side of Tokyo, see where to stay in Tokyo.

4. HIYORI Hotel Osaka Namba Station
The highest-rated hotel in the ten, at 4.9 out of 5, and the first of four in Osaka. Klook lists Nankai Namba Station three minutes away, which is where the Nankai trains to Kansai Airport start, so it suits a first or last night in Japan. It has 224 rooms.

5. Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Yokohama
The only hotel outside Tokyo and Osaka in the top ten, and joint highest-rated with HIYORI at 4.9. Klook puts it nine minutes from Yokohama Station, the longest walk on the list. With 819 reviews it also has the fewest, so its score rests on a smaller sample than the others.

6. Shibuya Stream Hotel
A 177-room hotel three minutes from Shibuya Station, and the smallest in the ten. Its lowest rate, about US$316, was the second-highest on the list. That is the price of staying right at Shibuya: our cheap Tokyo hotels search in October found nothing well rated in Shibuya under ¥33,000 for two.

7. Namba Oriental Hotel

8. Candeo Hotels Osaka The Tower
The largest Osaka hotel on the list, with 548 rooms, at Dojimahama, on the Dojima River. Klook gives Oebashi Station three minutes away and Higashi-Umeda ten. It has over 2,000 reviews on Klook, the second-most in the ten after Keio Plaza.

9. Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu
Inside the Shibuya Mark City building, three minutes from Shibuya Station by Klook's count. With 408 rooms it is more than twice the size of Shibuya Stream Hotel, and its lowest rate, about US$281, was a little cheaper.

10. RIHGA Place Higobashi
The cheapest hotel in the ten by a wide margin: Klook's lowest rate over the next 30 days was about US$50. Klook tags it "Great prices", and it is two minutes from Higobashi Station on the Yotsubashi Line, one stop from Nishi-Umeda. It has 336 rooms.

What the list doesn't tell you
A best-seller list measures what people book, not what suits your trip. Use it to find hotels that thousands of guests have rated well, then decide on location and price.
Before you book any of these, check two things. First, the station: a three-minute walk to a line you won't use is worth less than eight minutes to the one you will. Second, the price for your own dates. The rates above are each hotel's cheapest night in the next 30 days, and weekends, cherry blossom season and the busiest travel days of the year cost far more.
